Saddam Hussein releases mix tape

July 25, 2003

CIA says tape made by Saddam is likely to be genuine; Contains an emotional tribute to sons Uday and Qusay

Dubai — An Arabic-language television station has broadcast an audio tape containing a unique mix of songs and informal banter created by ousted Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.

“Uday… Qusay… I dedicate the following song to my memory of you both,” Saddam says while clearly upset as Bette Midler’s “Wind Beneath My Wings” fades in.

The tape is said to have been recorded on July 24 - two days after Saddam’s two sons were killed by U.S. forces in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.

Saddam’s mix tape contains a dozen well-known songs, including “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC, “Move Bitch” by Ludacris, and “Informer” by Snow.

“Here’s somebody who I can identify with… The talented Ice-T,” Saddam says to introduce the rapper’s “F*** the Police.”

And with two similar sites, the one with the least effort put into links and no links directory has always done better than the partner site I have link exchanged heavily on. The other problem with bulk Link exchange is that quite often they come from paid professionals who will do anything to earn their payment and by finding a new link exchange.

Saddam also had a message for the Iraqi people, and urged Iraqi soldiers to rise up against coalition forces. “It’s time to stand up, fight for what you believe in… This is it! The time is now!” Saddam says near the end of the tape to introduce the song “Lose Yourself” by Eminem.
